King and Coots power Nokomis softball to win over Winslow
Mia Coots came up big in the circle, while Sydney and Raegan King each came up big with the bat to lead Nokomis to a 10-0 win over Winslow at Newport on Friday afternoon.
Coots allowed only one base runner in six shutout innings. Coots finished with 13 strikeouts, allowing one hit. She threw 67 pitches (54 strikes). Sydney King had three hits, three RBI, and two runs scored. Raegan King reached base four times, with three hits, two runs scored, and one RBI. Addy Hawthorne added two hits and two runs scored. Nokomis (3-1) will play at Skowhegan on Monday. Winslow (1-4) will be at Lisbon on Monday.
