Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week, we had four Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Brad McKechnie had a big game to lead Penobscot Valley High School (PVHS) Baseball to a win over Bangor Christian. McKechnie joins Kayla Dube (4)- (5-12-13), Arianna McKinnon (2) (5-31-14), Amy Hallett (2) (10-3-15), Ryley Buck (9-13-15), Jarrett Priest (4-30-16), Thomas Spencer (5-29-16), Leine McKechnie (11) (4-30-19), Jaeden Folster (5-28-17), Lexi Ireland (7) (2-27-19), Grant Kidon (1-28-18), Jonny Littlefield (6-3-18), Elijah Wood (1-27-19), and Alex Tash (5-13-19) as student/athletes from PVHS that have earned athlete of the week honors.

- Brad McKechnie – PVHS- Baseball- had three hits and three RBI in 12-3 win over Bangor Christian.
