Kelli Kennedy earns third Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 173 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had eight Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Kellie Kennedy captured her third Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week. Kennedy averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds, 4.5 steals, 4 assists, and 2.5 blocks in leading Narraguagus to three wins this week, as the Knights are 10-0 and at the top of the Maine Principals’ Association class C north heal point standings. Kennedy also scored career point 1000 in the Knights win over Jonesport-Beals. It is the third athlete athlete of the week honor for Kennedy.

Melinda Ogden from Searsport also recorded  her 1000 career point in a Vikings win over Bucksport. Other nominatins this week include Emma Alley and. Peighton Ingersoll from Stearns, Jordan Jabar from Waterville, Madison Chadbourne from Foxcroft, Sami Ireland from Penobscot Valley high school, and Logan Huckins from Calais.

Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week

Kelli Kennedy- Narraguagus- basketball – scored 17 points, including her 1000 career point in 76-17 win over Jonesport-Beals. Recorded 18 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks in 46-38 win over Calais. Recorded 27 points, 10 rebounds, 7 steals, 4 assists, and 3 blocks in 67-33 win over Woodland. Kennedy joins Anna Ramsay as student/athletes from Narraguagus high school that have captured athlete of the week honors.

Emma Alley – Stearns- Basketball- scored 27 points in 68-17 win over Lee, scored 18 points in 72-37 win over Katahdin.

Other nominatins

Madison Chadbourne- Foxcroft- basketball- scored 23 points in 44-37 win over Old Town.

Sami Ireland- PVHS- Basketball- recorded 22 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks in 66-40 win over Katahdin,

Logan Huckins- Calais- Basketball- scored 27 points in 68-48 win over Washington Academy.

Peighton Ingersoll – Stearns – basketball- scored 19 points in 72-37 win over Katahdin.

Jordan Jabar- Waterville- Basketball- – recorded 20 points, 18 rebounds, and six blocks in 40-33 win over Brewer.

Melinda Ogden – Searsport- basketball- scored 21 points, including her 1000 career point in 48-35 win over Bucksport.
