With only three days left in the regular season, things are still not totally clear  when it comes to the Maine Principals’ Association class C north heal point standings.

Dexter and Penobscot Valley high school (PVHS) out of Howland cleared a few things up when they each picked up home wins on Monday night,

Megan Peach scored 22 points to lead Dexter to a 52-33 win over Bucksport. The Tigers outscored the Bucks by 16 in the second half. PVHS held PCHS to 15 points after the first quarter as the Howlers recovered from an early deficit to pick up a 41-27 win over the Pirates.

The Tigers and Howlers put themselves in good position to grab a top four spot in the final standings. Fort Fairfield is locked in at the number one spot. PVHS, Narraguagus, and Dexter are all within 2.2 heal points of each other in the two through four spots.

The top four receive a preliminary round bye and earn themselves a trip to the quarterfinal round at the Cross Insurance Center on Tuesday, February 16th. The teams seeded five through 12 will have to play a preliminary round game on February 9th.

Key games still to be played include Calais at Narraguagus, Dexter at Stearns, Schenck at Penquis, George Stevens at Searsport, Limestone at Fort Kent, and Sumner at Bucksport.
