School, sport, record from last year. Dexter Regional High School Tennis Boys – 0-12 Girls – 2-10

Expectations: Simply trying to improve and get better. With contunued hard work, a preliminary round play-off match is not out of the question.

The boys’ and girls’ teams are still both very young. They do however have last season’s experience under their belts and hopefully that will help this year. The boys’ team will be predominantly be made up of sophomores while the girls’ team will only have one senior on the roster.

Challenges: As always, we will have several first year players on both teams. It will take time for the new players to get use to the routine of high school tennis. A challenge for us will be our schedule which includes FA and GSA.

Key Players/Position: Boys – William Strauch (played #2 last year, will be #1 this year in only his second year playing), Chandler Perkins (played #3 last year, will be #2 this year also in only his second year playing), Jake Stevens and Jon Morrill both return from last year, and additions such as Josh Simcock, CJ Cooper, George Lewis, Hunter Speed, Tyler Levesque, Ryan Wyman, Richie Bateman, Kobe Pillsbury, Mark Kilmer, and Jonathan Lane should help add depth to the doubles teams.

Girls – Libby Toothaker (played #2 last year and is the only returning singles player), Savanah Tilley (played some doubles last year and is the only other returning player from last season), additions of Ashley Reynolds, Cidney Pratt, Bella Adam, Kirsten Swimm, Autumn Nickerson, Olivia Day, Jayna Robinson,Clara Kilmer, and Caitlin Race leave open the door for the develpment of a pretty good team.
