Eastern Maine Sports to have live audio coverage of key class C boys clash between Dexter and PCHS

January 23, 2017

The Piscataquis Community High School Pirates will host Dexter in a big class C boys basketball game this evening.

PCHS (4-6) come in as 12th in the current Maine Principals’ Assocation class C heal point standings. The Pirates have lost three of their last four games.

Dexter (8-3) comes in fifth in the current class C heal point standings. The Tigers have won four of their last five games.

The top 12 teams will make the class C tournament. The top four will advance to the quarterfinals at the Cross Insurance Center. The teams seeded fifth through 8th will host a preliminary game, while seeds 9th through 12 will be on the road for a prelim game.

A win for the Pirates tonight will go a long ways for them to at least secure a tournament spot and be in the mix for a home prelim game.

A win for the Tigers will go a long ways for them to get a home prelim and be in the mix for a spot in the top four.

Game time is schedule for 7 PM, with live Audio Coverage on Eastern Maine Sports, starting around 6:50.
