Bangor High baseball senior Karl Sund allowed just three hits and struck out four in a complete game effort Wednesday, as the Rams shutout Hampden Academy 7-0 at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.
The win improves Bangor to 11-1, good for second in the Class A North standings. It also sets up a big matchup on Thursday as the Rams host #1 Edward Little (12-0) at Mansfield Stadium at 4:30.
Bangor got two hits and two RBI from Charlie Budd, while Zach Murray, James Neel, and Jacob Munroe all had two hits and an RBI each. Hampden fell to 8-3 with the loss.
