Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 304 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had 11 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Lexi Ireland had four goals during the week, including a game winner in the final minute to lead PVHS over Greenville. It is the 8th athlete of the week honor for Ireland. She joins Kolleen BouchardKolleen Bouchard (19) from Houlton, Leine McKechnie (13), from PVHS, Bryce Gilbert (9) from PCHS, Justin Thompson (9) from Schenck, and Taylor Schildroth (9) from George Stevens as the only student/athletes with at least eight athlete of the week honors.

Lexi Ireland – PVHS- soccer- scored two goals in 6-0 win over Lee. Scored two goals including the game winner with 31 seconds remaining in 2-1 win over Greenville.

Rylee Speed- Central- soccer- the freshman scored three goals in 3-2 win over Orono. Had one goal and two assists in 4-3 loss to Dexter.

Martina Hill- PCHS – field Hockey- scored in overtime in 1-0 win over Stearns.
Silver Clukey- Winslow- field hockey- had three goals and one assist in 8-2 win over Morse.
Laura Cote- Schenck- soccer- scored four goals in 7-0 win over Penquis.
Peyton Grant- Dexter – soccer – had two goals and one assist in 3-0 win over PCHS. Had one goal in 4-3 win over Central.
Jillian Frost – MCI- field hockey- scored three goals in 4-0 win over John Bapst. Had one goal in 6-0 win over Waterville
Sydney Gallup- Hermon- soccer- scored three goals in 4-1 win over Foxcroft. Had one goal in 4-0 win over Nokomis.
Mackenzie Kain- PCHS- field Hockey- had one goal and one assist in 2-1 win over Hermon in double overtime.
Elizabeth Kendall- PCHS- field Hockey- scored game winning goal in 2-1 double overtime win over Hermon.
Gracie Moore- MCI- field Hockey- scored three goals and had one assist in 6-0 win over Waterville.
