Mount Desert Island (MDI) officially announced they will be joining the 8 man football league in the fall of 2020.
After a vote at last night’s school board meeting, MDI will move to 8-man football for the 2020 season. The program was interested last season but elected to stay in Class C after the MPA stuck with four classes of 11-man football. #MESports

The Trojans will join 10 other schools, including rival Ellsworth in the league. Mt. Ararat won the first ever 8 player league championship in the state of Maine.
