PCHS 2021 girls soccer preview

August 29, 2021

PCHS Girls Soccer
Coach Tom Panciera
2020 Record 2 wins, 8 Losses

Season expectations-  “This season has the potential to be a fairly successful one for us. The majority of last years team has returned, and the girls have been working hard in the off season. If we bring the intensity and work together I think it will be a good time.” Panciera said

Strengths- “Defensively we have the same lineup available that we ended last season with, and with the off-season work we should be a stronger and deeper defensive unit this year.” Panciera said

Weaknesses- Panciera said, “we didn’t have much offensive production last year, and that is a big focus heading into this season.”
How 2020 season impacted team-  “The changing guidelines and pushing back of season start dates had everyone pretty well drained mentally,”Panciera said. “I felt like a lot my concern as a coach, and really our objectives as a team, was just making sure everyone was handing the stress of the pandemic in a positive way. Soccer really became secondary.  I know the girls are really looking forward to the prospect of a post season this year.”
PCHS will play there first three games at home, starting with a contest against PVHS on September 3rd. They follow that up with games against Dexter and Central.
