Dexter girls soccer gets by Foxcroft to win regular season finale

DEXTER- The Dexter Tigers girls soccer team finished their regular season with a 2-1 win over Foxcroft Academy on Thursday afternoon.

Jozlynn Paige scored the only goal in the first half to give the Tigers a 1-0 halftime edge. Jillean Poliquen put Dexter up by two when she put one in just 1:46 into the second half. Cadence Gil scored the lone Ponies goal with 23:55 left in the game. Olivia Hill made seven saves on 14 shots for Foxcroft, and Jasmine Lewis made five saves on 10 shots for Dexter.

Dexter will enter the Class C Tournament with a 6-6-2 record. Foxcroft (2-10) will end the regular season with home games against Caribou on Saturday and Old Town on Wednesday.
