Julianna Cloukey dominated in the circle to lead Mattanawcook to a 9-0 softball win at Dexter on Monday afternoon.
Cloukey struck out 12, allowed only five hits, and didn’t issue a walk in her complete game gem. Cloukey threw 77 pitches/55 strikes.
The game was scoreless until the 5th inning, Mattanawcook took advantage of an error to score five unearned runs. Kalista Lazo had Riley Irish each had two RBI in the inning, while Megan House also had a run scoring hit. The Lynx added three more runs in the sixth inning and one in the seventh.
Lazo had three hits and three RBI to power the Lynx offense. House, Irish, and Merin Rhodes had two hits each. Addison Cyr scored two runs.
Desiree Adams and Abigail Trafton had two hits each for the Tigers. Kallie Stone pitched six innings, allowing eight runs (all unearned) on nine hits and four walks, while striking out nine. She threw 133 pitches/90 strikes.
