Isaac Ritchie did it with his arm and his bat for Mattanawcook Academy on Monday afternoon, leading the Lynx to a season opening 6-0 baseball win at Dexter.
Ritchie hit into a fielders choice groundout in the third inning that scored that only run that was needed for the Lynx. Ritchie later added two hits and one RBI. He also stole one base. On the mound, he fired a two-hit shutout in a complete game effort while walking just one and striking out 16. He threw 100 pitches (67 for strikes). Tyler Mahaney and Ryan Thibodeau also added two hits each. Thibodeau scored two runs. Mahaney, Avery Jordan, and Chase Stevens had one RBI each. Kody Kimball and Colin Mountain had the hits for the Tigers (1-1).
