The Husson baseball team extended their win streak to six games by sweeping a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader in Lyndonville, VT over Vermont State University Lyndon on Wednesday. The Eagles dominated Game 1, while winning in comeback fashion in Game 2.

Game 1- A bases loaded walk by Colin Marshall, a two-run single from Preston Libby, and a three-run homerun by Matt Holmes (Bangor) helped spark a seven run fourth inning by the Eagles as they blanked the Hornets 11-0. Preston Libby (three hits) and Holmes (two hits) each had four RBI. Liam Kelley added three hits, Hunter Curtis (Ellsworth) had two hits, while Marshall and Yates Emerson (Bangor) also had two hits and contributed one RBI each. Emerson scored three runs. Cam Rendell (1-0) pitched for the first time this season and got the win by firing a complete game one-hit shutout with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Game 2- The Eagles rallied from a 7-1 deficit after three innings, eventually tying it with three runs in the seventh, and then winning it in extras with four runs in the eighth for a 12-8 victory. Joe Hamelin (Waterville) in just his 14th at bat of the season provided the game winning RBI single in that eighth inning. Libby continued his hot hitting with two hits and three RBI.
