The season came to an end on Saturday for Husson baseball, falling 15-10 to Whitworth University (WA) in a elimination game of the NCAA Division III Montclair State Regional Tournament in Little Falls, New Jersey.

The Eagles fell behind 6-0 after three innings before storming back. The Pirates though responded to keep their season alive with four runs in both the fifth and seventh innings to put it away.

Ty Komoda had three hits and five RBI to lead Whitworth, while Austin Paul knocked in three runs, and Nate Gray Jr. along with Yash Gupta contributed two RBI each. The Pirates (29-15) were playing another elimination game on Saturday evening. Cyr had his three RBI in the loss for the Eagles, while Matt Holmes (Bangor) had two hits. Blake Littlefield (Brewer) was tagged with the pitching defeat allowing three runs on four hits in 1.2 innings. Husson, the seven-time defending North Atlantic Conference Champion, ends up with a final record of 24-18.
