It was the Gavin Glanville-True show for the Dunkin Comrades at Mansfield Stadium Tuesday night, as they began their season with a bang by sweeping a Senior Legion baseball doubleheader over Lincoln Lumber by identical 15-3 scores.
Glanville-True had two hits, three RBI, and three runs scored in Game 1 including an inside the park homerun. Kyle Johnson also hit a two-run homer for the Comrades, while Ethan Sproul and Owen Glanville-True also had two hits. Owen Glanville-True like his brother knocked in three runs. Ian Boudreau got the pitching victory allowing just one run on one hit with three walks and six strikeouts in five innings. Owen Wilson knocked in both runs for the Lumber with two hits.
Gavin Glanville-True and Sproul both knocked in two runs in the Game 2 mercy rule win in five innings. Glanville-True had two hits, while him and Sproul also scored two runs each. Boudreau, Johnson, Garrett King, Jonas Gilley, and Aiden Oullette each added one RBI. Oliver Mattei went the distance and earned the win on the hill giving up three runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Wilson had two more RBI for Lincoln Lumber (1-3) in the defeat.
