Parker Soule-Parent hit a solo homer and a three run double to power GSM (Greater Southern Maine)to a 6-5 win over Bangor (Dunkin) in a Senior Legion State Tournament game played on Tuesday on Ronald J. St. Pierre Field at Mansfield Stadium.
With the win, GSM advances to the championship game at 5 pm on Wednesday. They will play Bangor or Trenton. Bangor or Trenton will have to beat GSM twice.
Noah Corliss allowed one run on two hits and two walks, while striking out six in five innings. Bangor rallied with two runs in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh before Patrick Jones came in and shut the door to send his team into the championship game. Aiden Oullette had two hits to lead Bangor.
