The Maine women’s hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision to UNH in a preseason exhibition game played before almost 1,000 fans inside Alfond Arena in Orono on Saturday afternoon.
Mikayla Boarder and Isabelle Michaud had the Black Bear goals. They did outshoot the Wildcats 45-22. Kiia Lahtinen and Madisyn Ryan combined to make 17 saves in net. Maine opens the 2026-27 regular season at home next weekend as they take on #6 Quinnipiac. Friday’s game is at 6 p.m., while the series finale is on Saturday at 3:30.
