Sunday evening, Riley Geyer was named Eastern Maine Sports Lakeshore Restaurant September athlete of the month. The sophomore from Cony high school earned two athlete of the week honors during the month. Geyer has helped the Rams start the season with five wins in six games.
Geyer joins Michael Norton JR (October 2017) from Oceanside, Carter Tolmasoff (November 2017) from Bucksport, Peyton Grant (December 2017) from Dexter, Sydney Allen(January 2018) from Central, Zachary Wilson (February 2018) from Piscataquis Community High School, Gage Poulin(April 2018) from Central high school, Reece Carter (May 2018) from Penobscot Valley High School, and Seth Garvin (June 2018) from Stearns high school as athlete of the month winners. Geyer total 3100 votes and a total of 35% of the 8694 votes. Alex Brown (Mattanawcook),and Avery Herrick (Dexter) also received over 1000 votes. Full results are below.
