Cyran Ciarleglio- Hodgdon- basketball- the freshman had 16 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks in 54-47 loss against two time defending Champs Southern Aroostook and followed up by 18 points, 10 rebound, six assists, and two blocks in 70-41 win over Madawaska. The freshman is averaging a team high 15.33 points, 11 rebounds, 3.5 steals, ans an 2.5 blocks per game. Ciarleglio received 58% of the 672 votes. Angel Valencia (Sumner) was runner up. Ciarleglio joins Josh McGillicuddy- (10-12-2020), Walker Oliver (2) (1-21-22), Drew Duttweiler (10-4-22),Madison Smith (10-18-22, and Anna Oliver (12/23/23 as student/athletes from Hodgdon high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.
